He Will Be Missed

If you have been in our shop you have probably met Quellek, our official greeter. He has been a presence at the CB Train Junction since we opened in 2023. He was a friend to all and never met someone he did not like. One of his greatest pleasures was riding on the golf cart to the shop and greeting customers. I know there are several customers that made it a point to stop at the shop just to see him. Often he would end up at the center of a bunch of kids petting him. He was enormously patient and always friendly.
He frequently liked to sit out on the porch and watch the world pass by. He would sit in the sun until his coat was almost too hot to touch, then come in and curl up on the 20th Century Limited rug in front of the counter awaiting our next guest. He was enormously patient and always friendly.
We are very sad to let you all know that Quellek passed this week after a courageous fight with lymphoma. He was five years old. His absence will be felt by many and we will sorely miss him.
